• Park in the car park and walk down to the beach!

 best time to visit?

• Sunrise on an outgoing tide! The outgoing tide gives the best opportunity for reflections in the wet sand. In late May and late August, the sunrise lines up exactly with the pier.

 cj travel tips 

​

• Arrive early enough for sunrise to get a few shots with the pier lights on. They turn off automatically near the actual sunrise.

• Expect your tripod to get wet here – but there’s taps to wash the seawater off by the public toilets.

​

• We determine our composition based on where the best clouds are.

• Try experiment with longer exposures (0.5-3 seconds) to create a nice effect with the waves. Use a ND filter if it’s too light to achieve this exposure.

• Get the drone out to get a different perspective on the pier.
